All in the Family

With a father who was picture editor at the Toronto Star for twenty years, a brother who's a National newspaper-award winning photographer at the Toronto Sun and an uncle who's picture editor at the Glasgow Herald it was no suprise photography would be a passion.

Growing up, dinner conversation typically revolved around the news of the day, who got the shot and how it played in the newspaper.

Photo journalism has definitely influenced my shooting style. As much as possible I try to get myself in the right place to capture images as they happen. Even when subjects are posed I look for the moments that occur when they forget the camera is there.
